Hockey World's new e-commerce site was re-released in late March 2010 with new product, new features and a much friendlier buying experience.
Hockey World required a site which allowed for their customers around the country to purchase hockey sticks, pads and other hockey gear via a simple to use shopping cart facility.
The site allows for the updating of products via an administration area with Hockey World being able to upload photos, modify the sizing and colours for individual products, indicate if the product is in stock and a number of other facilities.
The site uses Hockey World's utilises PayPal's well known e-commerce facility allowing members and non-members alike to buy safely with their credit card. Orders are sent via email from the website which provide picking slips for Hockey World employees to fill and send off. Tracking of the sent products is also supplied to the customer so they can track their package every step of the way.
The site also employs a Content Management System (CMS) for all content throughout the site, allowing greater flexibility over what is shown on each page of the site.
Users of the site can also be kept up to date with frequent specials Hockey World run throughout the year by joining the online newsletter. This utliises Iugo's e-Newsletter Mailout system providing greater knowledge of who is using the system, what they're interested in and then being able to tailor the site accordingly.
