Assisting Australians Abroad was created by three Australian members of the financial community. The group consists of a financial planner, mortgage broker and a chartered accountant. The site was created to assist ex-pat Aussies invest their income into traditional means such as property, share portfolios and managed funds.
Iugo's role was to create an online community where ex-pats can receive financial advice from fellow Australians and also to keep in touch with other ex-pats in similar regions (such as Saudi Arabia for example). Iugo created this community via the use of an online forum and syndicating news stories from some of the most popular news outlets in Australia. Iugo also provided case-studies where site visitors could see how they could invest their income and what the benefits are associated with that. Communication between members of AAA and the interested parties was faciliated with easy-to-use forms which simplified what details were required for assistance to be provided.
